This is a perfect depiction of my journey. I do not look like what is going on in the inside of my body. How others see me is not what is.
I have grown so much. Learning how to manage so many different diagnosis, medical appointments, medication it's a lot. Early on this health journey I was so angry that my life changed. All of the hard work, time, dedication, focus ... it all disappeared with the blink of an eye.

When you’ve dealt with the multiple diagnosises that I have you learn to adjust. It comes in waves. Denial. Shame. Embarrassment. Anger. Confusion. Disconnect. Isolate.

And then one day, everything changes and you decide to LIVE. Be present. Enjoy those that enjoy you. Nurture the relationships that want to be nurtured. Go to the places you’ve always wanted to go. Try all the things you’ve ever dreamed of.
Growth is not for others. It’s for you! Pause. Reflect. Stand in the work that is necessary for the journey. -Maleika René
